Guelph Musicfest 2021

Season 15 — September 17 to November 19, 2021

Musicfest Master Classes

For the first time, Guelph Musicfest will present master classes by the performers.

Master classes are advanced lessons by artists given to guest performers/students in public. The visiting artists in some of the concerts will be giving classes on the day following their own concerts.

In the case of pianist Robert Silverman, he will present an entertaining and informative talk about J.S. Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, followed by a short master class. Master classes will also be given by the pianist Valerie Tryon, violinist Sadie Fields, and cellist Katie Schlaikjer.

The Master classes take place in the GYMC Recital Hall at 3 pm on the day after performances. If you have a ticket for the matching concert, there is no extra charge for the Master class. Attendance is by reserved seat only. Seating is limited.

Special thanks to June Davis and family—Emory, Deirdre and Eric—for their past support in memory of Richard C. Davis (a true lover of music who believed in Guelph Musicfest)
