Beethoven Cello Sonata No. 2 in G minor, Op. 5
Brahms Piano Trio No. 1 in B major, Op. 8
Guelph Musicfest wouldn’t be the same without the annual performance by Festival Trio. In 2019, the trio made TWO appearances, with an encore performance in December to record its first CD. Both Paul Pulford (New Brunswick) and Sadie Fields (Brussels, Belgium) have very active concert careers, but they eagerly return to Guelph to join director/pianist/friend Ken Gee for the Musicfest Festival Trio.

Unfortunately, Canadian travel restrictions prevent Sadie from coming her from Belgium. But Paul & Ken happily welcome their longtime friend and Penderecki Quartet violinist Jerzy Kaplanek.

The trio celebrates Beethoven’s 250th birthday with a pair of his great sonatas. The wonderful programme includes Brahms’ big and beautiful Trio in B major. Come and enjoy! (click any performer’s name below to learn more)
